Seats
The majority of triple buggies are initially single pushchairs, but some models can be converted to accommodate a second seat or carrycot by converting adapters (these are typically more common in tandem buggies). For a light-weight alternative that's ideal for city streets, take a look at the Joie Evalite Duo. It's easy to move and comes with a large basket with plenty of storage space. It can accommodate twins from birth and will accept two car seats or seats and a carrycot. The seats have to face toward the forward direction and there isn't space to store a shopping bag under the seat. You will need an additional side bag.

The phil&teds dots are fantastic single buggys that are easily modified to take two (or three!) in a variety of configurations. This is especially useful when you have a child in a car. Suspension
The quality of the suspension on a 3-wheel double buggy is vital to how it is easy for you and your child to push.
